I used to think that I needed to do ALL the things to be successful. I was constantly starting new projects, chasing shiny objects, and spreading myself way too thin. But the truth is, all that busyness was actually holding me back.
It wasn’t until I started simplifying my business and focusing on the ONE thing that would move the needle the most that I saw real growth. And that’s what I want to share with you today.
The Rule of ONE
The Rule of ONE is a simple but powerful framework for achieving massive growth in your coaching business. It’s all about getting laser-focused on the key metrics that will drive your success.
Here are the three steps:

Focus on ONE offer that you want to fill the most.
You probably have a whole suite of offerings, right? That’s awesome! But if you’re trying to sell everything all the time, you’re going to confuse your audience and dilute your message.
Instead, choose ONE offer that you want to focus on the most. This could be your signature program, a new offer you’re launching, or even just a small-ticket offer that you want to use to build your email list.
Once you’ve chosen your ONE offer, put all your energy into promoting it. Talk about it on social media, in your email newsletters, and on your podcast. Create valuable content that supports it. Make it the star of your show.
When you focus on ONE offer, you’ll get better at talking about it, you’ll start to figure out what works, and you’ll gain a ton of confidence. You’ll also collect more testimonials and bring in organic referrals.

Choose ONE value strategy to warm up your audience.
Your value strategy is how you’re going to deliver value to your audience and build know-like-trust. There are a lot of different ways to do this, but I recommend choosing ONE and sticking with it.
Some popular value strategies include:
- Webinars
- Live trainings
- Challenges
- Guest teaching in other people’s communities
- Hosting a podcast
- Stage speaking
My personal value strategy is webinars. I love hosting webinars because they allow me to connect with my audience in a real and authentic way. I also find them to be a very effective way to generate leads and sales.
When choosing your value strategy, make sure it’s something you enjoy doing and that you’re good at. You should also make sure it’s something that your ideal clients will find valuable.

Select ONE visibility method to extend your network.
Your visibility method is how you’re going to get more eyeballs on your work. Again, there are a lot of different ways to do this, but I recommend choosing ONE and focusing on it.
Some popular visibility methods include:
- Podcast guesting
- Guest teaching in other people’s communities
- Networking events
- Writing for publications
My personal visibility method is podcast guesting. I love being a guest on podcasts because it allows me to reach a new audience and share my message with the world. I also find it to be a very effective way to build relationships with other coaches and influencers.
When choosing your visibility method, make sure it’s something you enjoy doing and that you’re good at. You should also make sure it’s something that will reach your ideal clients.
Social Media is a Bonus
I know you’re probably wondering about social media. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about it!
Social media is a great way to connect with your audience and build relationships. But it’s not the be-all and end-all of marketing. In fact, I believe it’s best used as a bonus to your other marketing efforts.
If you’re spending all your time on social media, you’re not going to have the time or energy to focus on the other things that will really move the needle in your business. So use social media strategically, but don’t let it become your main focus.
