In this first episode we’re talking all about the confidence formula (I reveal that inside the episode) and 3 very practical tips to feel more confident as a coach and leader immediately.

Let’s talk about the formula for confidence:

Self Belief AND Evidence

You may require considerable evidence and spend lots of time and energy trying to create self-belief.  Others not so much.

Confidence comes from believing in yourself as you are, right now, today…without more clients or more certifications.  You must OWN this now.

Example: writing a book and wanting to launch it but not wanting to tell anybody.  Movie stars that say, “well I need to be on the big screen first in order to be on the big screen,” doesn’t make sense.amanda walker business life coach

Tip 1: Create the habit of collecting evidence of your success–emails, files, albums, etc.

If you don’t have officially paying clients this is where you can start small with beta clients and in exchange for service, you can exchange testimonials. If you had hours of practicum, work for a testimonial, and if you have coaches and friends–ask.

Tip #2 Stay Future Focused

Ultimately, confidence is built by doing.  The problem is that so many coaches and leaders wait to feel confident to take action, but it actually happens the other way around.  You have to go out and take action, and watch yourself actually follow through to build more of the same. 

Let go of the “right” way and be flexible to allow whatever was in the past to stay there.

 Tip #3 is…Be Her Now.

The woman doing what you desire–what does she do differently? 

Understanding the identities you have and recognizing how to shift yours will help you be her. Work on embodying the person you want to become now.

Another great way to build that confidence to be her now is a simple state change before coaching or going LIVE or entering a networking event. (And if you want a great group of networking, you can join me every Wednesday in our networking and accountability group.)

Change your area, outfit, or whatever to get you in the groove to embrace her now!
