What Type of Woman Will You Become? 3 Beliefs to Anchor for 2026
Your 2026 strategy won’t save you. Your coaching business mindset will.
Two coaches signed with me last week. Before they said yes, they both told me the same thing:
“I’ve invested before. I didn’t get results. I’m afraid to try again.”
Meanwhile, I’m watching coaches in my program book out their rosters, hit consistent 5-10K months, and build businesses that actually let them leave their day jobs.
It’s not the strategy. Everyone has access to the same tactics.
The difference is three internal commitments that most coaches never make. I call them anchored beliefs—and without them, no strategy will work for you.
In this episode, I’m breaking down each one. The third belief is the one I see missing most often, and it’s probably the reason you’re not where you want to be yet.
Why I’m Telling You to Forget Your 2026 Strategy (For Now)
I sat down to plan my 2026 with my usual setup—slide decks, spreadsheets, the whole production.
And I felt…nothing. No excitement. No vision board energy.
So I got curious: what’s actually going on?
The answer surprised me. I don’t need a bigger, fancier plan for 2026. What’s working right now is the opposite—a back-to-basics approach that prioritizes connection over automation.
What I’m doing differently:
- Canceled my webinar subscription because I want faces on screen with me, not a broadcast
- Shortened my newsletters dramatically—results-driven, no fluff
- Doubled down on testimonials and case studies instead of scalable funnels
We’re in a trust recession. Your audience has been burned by coaches who took their money and disappeared. The way through isn’t more automation—it’s more proof that you deliver.
But none of that matters if you don’t have the internal foundation to execute it.
What’s Working Right Now (And Why I Canceled My Webinar Subscription)
We are still in a trust recession. I’ve been speaking about this for over a year. Now it seems like everybody’s talking about it because they’re a little late to the party.
The question becomes: how do we show up differently?
In my business, we’re going:
- High human touch instead of fancy automations. I actually just canceled my webinar subscription—not because I’m not still doing workshops, but because I want faces on with me. Super intimate. Real connection.
- Short and results-driven instead of lengthy newsletters. No more fancy, long-form content that nobody reads. We’re going super basic with newsletters that deliver immediate value.
- Case studies and testimonials instead of scalable practices. We’re beefing up our testimonial pages and building more case studies because that’s what builds trust in this market.
Whether you’re serving B2B or B2C, the huge back-to-basics move is being in the results. Constantly assessing how your clients are doing. Making sure you have a clear framework. Pre-assessing and post-assessing. Making sure the thing they wanted is the thing they’re getting.
Part of that is your work, and part of that is on them. I can’t spoon-feed clients, go to their house, and make them do the work. But I can get really curious about why they aren’t doing the work. I can ask questions.
That is what great coaching is about.
The Question That Reveals Everything About Your 2026
Before we dive into the three beliefs, I want you to sit with this:
What type of woman will you become to have what you want?
Not what strategies will you try? Not what platforms will you post on? What type of woman?
Because the version of you who has a full roster of 10 clients, who’s hitting consistent 10K months, who handed in her resignation—she operates differently than the version of you reading this right now.
Every revenue milestone I’ve hit required a different version of me. What worked at $1K/month didn’t work at $5K. What worked at $5K didn’t work at $10K. What worked at $10K didn’t work at $50K.
Your future self isn’t using better tactics. She’s operating from different beliefs.
Anchored Belief #1: “I Am Not Going Back”
When I left teaching, one sentence never came out of my mouth: “If this doesn’t work out, I can always go back.”
Instead: This will work, and I will figure out how.
“Trying it out.” “Seeing if it works.” “Giving it a shot.”
That language = backup plan results. One toe in gets you one toe in outcomes.
This doesn’t mean quit your job tomorrow or invest $100K. It means making an internal decision that going backward isn’t an option—even when your brain whispers that your day job is safer.
Anchored Belief #2: “I Will Make Money as a Coach”
You have to believe in your bones that making money as a coach is inevitable for you.
Brilliant coach. Passionate about the work. Getting amazing feedback.
Charging nothing.
If you’re not energetically open to receiving money, you’ll unconsciously sabotage every opportunity to get paid. You’ll underprice, over-deliver to resentment, and attract clients who don’t value your work.
My rule: One free client. That’s it.
After that? Charge something. $5. $50. $100. The amount doesn’t matter—the habit of asking for an energy exchange does.
Anchored Belief #3: “I Devote Committed Time to My Business”
This is the one I see missing most often.
It’s not “if I get time.” It’s “I have committed time.”
Where your time goes, your results go. You cannot expect a full client roster while giving your business leftover scraps.
Stop waiting for life to calm down. That’s not how this works.
I built my business working 20 hours/week, with kids, while tutoring and coaching CrossFit. Sometimes I had one hour a day.
It’s not quantity. It’s quality.
That one hour needs to be strategic, tied to actual goals, and protected like a non-negotiable.
Set business hours first before the day takes them away. Just like working out: if it’s not in the morning, it doesn’t happen.
And stop calling it a “side hustle” or “little business.” You’re a CEO. It’s time to act like it.
Your 2026 Game Plan Starts With a Question
As you wrap up this year, I want you to get honest with yourself:
Which of these three beliefs am I loose on?
Maybe it’s one. Perhaps it’s all three. No judgment, just awareness.
Because you can’t fix what you won’t see.
If you’re reading this and thinking, “Yes, this is the woman I want to become,” then I’d love to have you in our community.
Inside The Best Damn Coach, I hold you accountable to these beliefs. I give you the framework for the strategy piece—how to speak to your ideal client, how to find them, how to convert them, how to serve them so well they renew and refer.
